Phrasal Verb: look up to

To look up to somebody is to respect and admire them.


Examples of use:

1. My dog loves me and looks up to me!

2. Young people need positive role models and someone to look up to.

3. Tim looks up to his father because he is an honest and kind man.

4. How can people look up to those politicians who don't seem to care about ordinary people?

5. I really look up to my boss. She's worked hard to get where she is.

6. It's important for teenagers to have teachers they can look up to. They will work harder and see what they can accomplish
