Phrasal verb: jumble up

To jumble up something (or jumble something up) is to mix things up into an untidy mess.

Example of use:

Why are your clothes all jumbled up on the floor? Tidy them up, please.

jumble (noun) – articles for a jumble sale. For example, old clothes and unwanted household items. British English.
