Phrasal Verb: split up

Split up means to end a marriage or romantic relationship.

Examples of use:
1. Marco’s parents are splitting up and he is very upset about it.

2. She’s not very good at commitment. She splits up with her boyfriends at the first sign of a problem.

infinitive – split up

present simple – split up and splits up

-ing form – splitting up

past simple – split up

past participle – split up
