To look out for something or somebody is to look carefully so that you will see them, or it.
Examples of use:
1. Mr Jones dropped his watch somewhere in the park and he has asked us to look out for it.
2. Look out for icy roads on your way to work.
3. Your grandmother will give you a lift home from school so look out for her by the school gates.
