Phrasal Verb: lock yourself away

If you lock yourself away you go to a place where you can be alone and not disturbed by anyone or anything; perhaps to do some work or to study.

Example of use:
I need to finish this essay by tomorrow, so I’m going to lock myself away for a few hours.

infinitive – lock

present simple – lock and locks

-ing form – locking

past simple – locked

past participle – locked
