Phrasal Verb: doze off

To doze off (informal) is to slowly fall into a light sleep, especially during the day.

Examples of use:
1. My elderly aunt likes to doze off in her armchair after lunch.

2. I was just dozing off when the telephone rang and woke me up.

infinitive – doze off

present simple – doze off and dozes off

-ing form – dozing off

past simple – dozed off

past participle – dozed off
