If you fork out for something you pay for something, or give money to someone. Fork out is used especially if you don’t really want to pay for something.
Examples of use:
1. I’ve just had to fork out £500 for a new television because my old one stopped working.
2. I’ll have to be careful with my money this month because I’m going to have to fork out on a new car soon.
